What happy customers say about 787 Sports
“Brendan works with all ages of pupils with a variety of sports providing a high quality of PE. He has worked with staff members, enhancing the PE curriculum time establishing positive and supportive relationships. The children also enjoy working with Brendan in after-school activities. Brendan always gives the children positive encouragement and ensures that all can access the provision”.
“Brendan’s PE lessons cover a range of sports and activities, with the emphasis being on all the children being active whilst having fun. Brendan`s lessons are very well planned and include progressions designed to help children of all ability levels to continually develop their skills. As part of the package Brendan also provides the school with a structured assessment programme, where each child`s progress in PE is monitored and recorded weekly, each term and annually. This is very useful as it means that at any time we can see how each child is progressing and developing and where they are in relation to the National Curriculum expectations.”
“When it comes to coaching in schools there are lots of organisations that talk a good game, but it is rare to find a company, like 787 sports, that not only delivers the sport but also encompass other aspects, such as respect and perseverance. The coach (Jamie) who came into our school motivated and encouraged our children. Their belief of targeting those children who struggled to engage in sports and maybe a little quieter than the rest has made a significant difference in their attitude to sport. The children who took part in the session loved their Monday lunchtimes with Jamie, and would always be looking forward to going back the next week. The inter-school competitions they organised gave those quiet children a time to shine. Their impact has stretched so far that one of the year 6 boys have now taken up hockey out of school! I couldn’t recommend them enough!”
“The thing I love about sending both my boys to Brendan is the personal element. He takes notice of all the children and looks at how he can bring out the best in them. I noticed quickly that they really enjoyed being at his clubs because of him not just the activity. He makes it fun for all.”
“Brendan provides an after school football club at our school for Years 4,5 and 6 and this has had a great impact on the school’s footballing development. He is really enthusiastic in teaching the children and makes sure his sessions are fun and challenging. Since attending the club, it has given the children more confidence and improved their football skills to enable them to continue to enjoy playing football in and out of school. All of the children clearly enjoy each session and they are very excited to attend every week.”
“My two boys have played football with Mr Brendan Guest for the past few years at school and after school. They enjoy and respect him . His kind words and support have helped them both progress . They love Mr Brendan Guest , and they love football.”
“I have been meaning to get in touch to thank you and the team for getting Joshua involved with the play leader activity. I would especially like to highlight Mr Guests input, Joshua has grown in confidence and independence incredibly over the last year and I believe that his increased responsibility in school has played a very important role.
He is also partaking in Mr Guests football sessions on a Wednesday afternoon and he speaks very highly of him, he always listens and has show such kindness, ensuring to instil confidence, self motivation and encouraging team work and mutual respect. I am so very grateful for his help as Joshua is really blossoming and it is so heart warming to know that he feels less self conscious and is enjoying every day he goes to school.”
What We Do At 787 Sports
787 Sports Within Schools
Lunchtime and After School Clubs
We offer a variety of sports and games to cover lunchtime breaks and after school clubs. These include football, dodgeball, basketball, netball, tennis and cricket as well as many other sports. In addition we also offer the option of a Multi-Sports club, where the focus of the sport changes each week. We pride ourselves on always going the `extra mile` both in delivering the sessions in a totally professional and structured way, also in taking the time and effort to provide an enjoyable learning environment by being approachable, thorough and friendly in everything we do.
As holders of a Level 3 Certificate in Delivery of Physical Education and School Sport (QCF) we are able to deliver PE in Primary Schools in line with the National Curriculum (Gov.UK) guidelines.
As well as planning and delivering the lessons we also offer a bespoke written continuous assessment package which monitors the progress and development of every child weekly, each term and annually. This means that each child`s entire P.E. progress record from any year, can be researched at any time whilst at that school.
We offer a Sports Leaders Award to the older children in schools who express an interest in supervising the younger children at the school through sport and games. Sports Leaders can easily be identified within school (through the wearing of high visibility tabards) as children who can help the younger ones in the organising of small games. We deliver this programme in schools over three sessions with the children receiving a Certificate confirming that they have attended the sessions and so become Sports Leaders.
Saturday Morning Football Club
The Saturday Morning Football Club is for both boys and girls between the ages of 5 – 11 years. This takes place at the Priory Pembroke Academy in Cherry Willingham, Lincoln between 10 am – 12 noon. This is the ideal opportunity for children have great fun, make new friends and learn new footballing skills. Children are encouraged to play football with smiles on their faces without any fears of making a mistake. Building their confidence is the key objective so they can gain the maximum enjoyment.
Walking Football for the over 50`s
Walking football is different to regular Association Football in many ways and is aimed at the over 50’s age group. Many tournaments are now catering exclusively for the over 60’s age group.
It has very specific rules that outlaw all running and allows no contact between players. Over-head height restrictions and indirect free kicks ensure that the sport is played safely with full consideration to the participants’ age.
Teams are either 5 or 6-a-side. As a result of these rules, games are played at a slower pace, often on state of the art 3G artificial grass pitches, thus reducing the threat of pain, discomfort and injury, with players briskly walking through matches.
This allows people who have loved the sport all their lives to once again safely get back to playing and also introduces the sport to people who perhaps have never considered playing before.
Have you considered walking football?
We offer Walking Football for the over 50`s on Monday evenings between 7 -8pm. This is open to both men and women as well people who are under 50 years old who are recovering from illness or injury. This is a fantastic way of becoming more active whist making new friends.
